Baffin Bay Early Phase Watershed Planning
Baffin Bay supports some of the highest recreational and commercial fishery landings in Texas. It also contains critical habitat for migratory birds and other wildlife and is surrounded by a thriving agricultural community. Current water quality impairments and degradation threaten its health and future.
An existing local Baffin Bay Stakeholder Group, consisting of fisherman, landowners, ranchers, business owners, local government, and agencies, would like to expand protection efforts. The development of a locally driven plan for voluntarily addressing issues through a unified approach provides an advantage when seeking funding for improvement projects. Please join us and share feedback on your vision for the future of Baffin Bay.
The project team can be contacted at ashmarie@tamu.edu or 979-324-5024.
Questionnaire
Local stakeholder feedback is the most important part of watershed protection planning. You know your bay and lands better than anyone else. Please share your valuable feedback by filling out one of the questionnaires below.
If you are a Resource Manager (i.e. agency, local government, natural resources manager/consultant), please fill out the second link.
