The Texas Seafood Trail is back with a refreshed look and a renewed invitation for Texans and visitors alike to explore the state’s vibrant seafood culture. The re-announcement includes a newly rebranded logo that reflects the trail’s connection to coastal communities, working waterfronts and locally sourced seafood across Texas.

The Texas Seafood Trail highlights restaurants, fish houses and seafood markets that serve Texas wild-caught shrimp, oysters, finfish and other Gulf seafood. The trail was created to help consumers find and support businesses committed to sourcing Texas seafood while celebrating the people and communities behind it.

Texas Sea Grant coordinates the Texas Seafood Trail as part of its broader mission to support sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, resilient coastal economies and informed seafood consumers. By connecting the public directly with seafood businesses, the trail helps strengthen local supply chains while promoting transparency and trust in Texas seafood.

Visitors to the trail can experience a range of coastal flavors and traditions, from casual dockside meals to chef-driven menus rooted in Gulf seafood heritage or even learn about what helps bring those things to the table- such as seafood markets and maritime museums. Highlights along the trail include Pier 6 in San Leon, known for its oysters, as well as Alby’s Seafood in Fulton, which showcases local shrimp, fish and oysters. Additional stops include El Papa’s in Port Isabel, offering Wild caught shrimp.

Each stop on the Texas Seafood Trail tells a story — not just of food, but of fishermen, processors and coastal communities working together to bring fresh, local seafood to the table.

As the Texas Seafood Trail moves into the new year, Texans are encouraged to explore existing trail locations and stay tuned for what’s next. Be on the lookout for new members and events taking place around the Texas Seafood Trail in the year ahead.
