Strategic Plan Input Survey – Community Needs
Texas Sea Grant 2028-2032 Strategic PlanCommunity Survey
Texas Sea Grant is in the process of updating its four-year strategic plan, and we are seeking input from those who live, work, and engage with Texas coastal and marine resources.
Your perspective is essential to helping us better understand current challenges, emerging issues, and opportunities across coastal communities, natural resource management, workforce development, and education. This input will help ensure our future work remains responsive, relevant, and aligned with the needs of the communities and industries we serve.
To help frame your feedback, Texas Sea Grant works across research, education, and extension to support the sustainable use and stewardship of coastal and marine resources. Our efforts include:
- Partnering with industry, communities, and agencies to identify needs and support applied research
- Supporting and funding research that addresses real-world coastal and marine challenges
- Translating science into practical tools, training, and outreach for stakeholders
- Providing education and workforce development opportunities
- Supporting coastal communities in building resilience and informed decision-making
All responses will be reviewed and summarized into key themes, which will directly inform the development of actionable priorities across our research, education, and extension programs.
We encourage participation from anyone who lives, works, or spends time along the Texas coast, as well as individuals and organizations with an interest in the stewardship and sustainable use of coastal and marine resources.
We invite you to complete the short survey below by July 20 to ensure we receive your input by the review period.
