Supporting the Next Generation of Coastal Professionals
Texas Sea Grant is committed to preparing tomorrow’s coastal and marine professionals by offering a variety of student funding and experiential learning opportunities. Through partnerships with NOAA, universities across Texas, conservation organizations, and local industry stakeholders, we provide meaningful pathways for both undergraduate and graduate students to contribute to the health and sustainability of our coast.
Texas Sea Grant’s student programs support a wide range of academic and professional interests, from marine policy and science communication to fisheries research and coastal management. Scholarship Opportunities
The Texas Sea Grant Ralph Rayburn Scholarship supports graduate students pursuing degrees related to coastal and marine resources in Texas. Named in honor of Ralph Rayburn, a longtime advocate for sustainable fisheries and coastal stewardship, the scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to working on issues that impact the Texas coast.
