Partner With Us

Texas Sea Grant partners with organizations that share a commitment to healthy coastal ecosystems, sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, resilient communities and economies, and environmental literacy. We work alongside our partners to identify local needs, co-develop projects, and deliver research-based tools that make a difference on the ground and in the water.

Collaborate for coastal impact

Partnering with Texas Sea Grant means joining a trusted network committed to science-driven solutions and community-focused service. Whether you’re a nonprofit, agency, business, or local leader, our collaborations are built on shared goals, open communication, and real-world impact for Texas’s coastal and marine communities.

Building Stronger Coastal Communities—Together

Our partnerships span state agencies, educational institutions, conservation groups, and community-based organizations.

Examples of collaborative work include creating living shoreline demonstration sites, developing workforce training programs in marine industries, expanding seafood supply chains, restoring oyster reefs, increasing climate resilience planning for coastal towns, and designing educational programs for K–12 students. By combining local knowledge with science-backed solutions, we create long-lasting benefits for the environment, economy, and people of Texas’s coastal regions.

Featured Partnership: Katie’s SeaFOOD

Texas Sea Grant partnered with Katie’s Seafood in Galveston through the G.U.L.F. Restaurant Partnership, an initiative that promotes local, sustainable Gulf seafood. Working alongside the Texas State Aquarium and Audubon Nature Institute, Texas Sea Grant provides training on sustainable sourcing and seasonal catch, while helping ensure Katie’s menu reflects responsible practices. The partnership also boosts Katie’s visibility through marketing, digital tools, and public outreach, positioning the restaurant as a trusted source for authentic Gulf seafood and a leader in supporting sustainable fisheries and coastal communities.
