Mia Zwolinski is the Assistant Director for Research and Fiscal Administration for Texas Sea Grant. Serving as the Fiscal Officer, she manages the pre- and post-award portfolio and assists the Director with the overall fiscal aspects of the program. Continuing in her capacity of Research Administration, she oversees the program’s research grant competitions, fellowship opportunities, Texas Sea Grant’s Grants-In-Aid of Graduate Research Program and the Texas Sea Grant Scholars Program for undergraduate research.

Zwolinski joined the staff of Texas Sea Grant as the program’s Research Coordinator in June of 2015. Prior to joining Texas Sea Grant, Zwolinski was a Proposal Administrator with Texas A&M University – Sponsored Research Services, where she prepared and submitted proposals on behalf of researchers at the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and the Texas A&M Extension Service Agencies for research and extension competition grants. This included assisting Faculty Principal Investigators with developing proposal budgets and proposal packages, while ensuring adherence to the Texas A&M University System, State of Texas and Federal sponsored program policies and the guidelines of the granting agencies.

She also has served as a Proposal Coordinator with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, as a Vice President and Financial Analyst with Bank of America, as a Financial Reporting Consultant with NationsBank and Senior Assistant Bank Examiner with the Texas State Department of Banking.
