Judith Miller joined Texas Sea Grant in July 2018 as the program's Business Coordinator II.  She coordinates and processes the personnel activities of the program. She performs the daily accounting processes and is responsible for preparing Concur Travel Reports for Knauss Fellows, guest travelers, assists Texas Sea Grant employees as needed, and approves Concur Reports as Manager Delegate. Additionally, she works closely with Texas Sea Grant’s Assistant Director for Research and Fiscal Administration at stages of proposal submissions and post-awarding, to ensure employee effort is committed and charged appropriately. Furthermore, Miller assists as Post-Award Administrator of sponsored funding and monitors and reconciles monthly transactions to ensure expenses fall within the scope of work for each grant account and for required cost sharing. Furthermore, Miller is the program’s HR Liaison Coordinator and WELL Leader.

In 2000, Miller received a Community Building Award from the College of Liberal Arts Superior Service for her leadership, support, and guidance of international students learning English as a second language. She has completed the Emerging Supervisors Program and served on the HR Liaison Advisory Resource Group (HRLARG). Miller served on many selection committees including as a Mentor for Financial Accounting Management Information System (FAMIS) and on a Sustainability Team at Texas A&M University.

Miller brings 29 years of experience with Texas A&M University (TAMU) in various systems: TAMU, Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), Texas Engineering Experiment Station (TEES), and AgriLife. Prior to Texas Sea Grant, her experience specialized in Human Resources, budgeting, reconciliations, and travel. Previous departmental experience at Texas A&M University include:
