List of FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers

Disaster recovery centers offer in-person support to individuals and businesses in counties included in the Texas federal disaster declaration for Hurricane Harvey and the subsequent floods. Recovery specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the State and other agencies will be at the centers to talk about assistance and to help anyone who needs guidance in filing an application. SBA representatives are available to answer questions about SBA’s disaster loan program and help business owners and residents apply to SBA.

The State of Texas and FEMA have opened centers in the following locations. FEMA and SBA representatives are there to help with the application process from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, unless otherwise noted. (See notes below the list for additional information about the centers and registering for assistance). Note: starting on Jan. 21, all locations will close on Sundays. Once this change takes effect, all locations will operate Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with the exception of the Brazoria County East Annex location in Angleton, which will continue operating Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Angleton: Brazoria County East Annex, 1524 E. Mulberry Street (Note: hours at this location are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday)
  • Aransas Pass: Myers & Gallagher Real Estate Co. Parking Lot, 109 W. Wilson Ave. (Note: hours for this location are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday)
  • Beaumont: Old Parker School Uniforms, 3863 Stagg Drive (Note: Note: hours for this location are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday)
  • Conroe: Old Conroe Police Department Building, 700 Old Montgomery Road
  • Corpus Christi: La Palmera Mall Parking Lot, 5488 S. Padre Island Dr. (Note: hours for this location are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday)
  • Dallas: Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, 650 S. Griffin St. (for evacuees from the affected counties)
  • Dayton: Dayton Chamber of Commerce, Rooms 301 and 302, 801 S. Cleveland Street B 
  • Deweyville: Deweyville Senior Citizen Center, 43435 State Hwy 87 S

The following centers are operating on an alternating schedule:

  • Orange: Administration Building, 123 South 6th Street (Thursday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for registration, status update, SBA and others; Monday-Wednesday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for registration assistance only; closed Sunday)
  • Sealy: C.E. Hill Community Center, 1000 Main Street (Thursday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for registration, status update, SBA and others; Monday-Wednesday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for registration assistance only; closed Sunday)
  • Vidor: Orange County Tax Office, 155 Wilson Street (Monday-Wednesday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for registration, status update, SBA and others; Thursday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for registration assistance only; closed Sunday)     

Disaster recovery centers are accessible to people with disabilities. Centers have assistive technology equipment allowing disaster survivors to use amplified telephones, phones that display text, amplified listening devices for people with hearing loss and magnifiers for people with vision loss. Video Remote Interpreting is available and in-person sign language is available by request. The centers also have accessible parking, ramps and restrooms.

If possible, homeowners, renters and businesses should register with FEMA before visiting a recovery center. Eligible residents may register for assistance the following ways:

  • Online at DisasterAssistance.gov.
  • Phone 800-621-3362 (voice, 711/VRS-Video Relay Service) (TTY: 800-462-7585). Multilingual operators are available (press 2 for Spanish).
  • Via the FEMA app, available for Apple and Android mobile devices. To download, visit: fema.gov/mobile-app.

The following information is helpful when registering:

  • Address of the location where the damage occurred (pre-disaster address).
  • Current mailing address.
  • Current telephone number.
  • Insurance information.
  • Total household annual income.
  • Routing and account number for checking or savings account (this allows FEMA to directly transfer disaster assistance funds into a bank account).
  • A description of disaster-caused damage and losses.

Homeowners, renters and businesses in Aransas, Austin, Bastrop, Bee, Brazoria, Calhoun, Chambers, Colorado, DeWitt, Fayette, Fort Bend, Galveston, Goliad, Gonzalez, Hardin, Harris, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Karnes, Kleberg, Lavaca, Lee, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Newton, Nueces, Orange, Polk, Refugio, Sabine, San Jacinto, San Patricio, Tyler, Victoria, Walker, Waller and Wharton counties may be eligible for help.
