Galveston Bay Post-Harvey Task Force

Assessing Harvey's Impact

The Houston-Galveston region will be impacted from Hurricane Harvey for years to come. Many agencies, government entities, research institutions, and others have been out monitoring the environmental impacts of this record-setting natural disaster. The Galveston Bay Estuary Program in partnership with Texas Sea Grant would like to invite you to participate in a weekly (proposed but will be discussed) conference call to coordinate independent or ongoing efforts to track changes in ecosystems due to Hurricane Harvey, to reduce duplication of efforts, and to disseminate information. We hope that by working together we can gain a better understanding of how the flood waters affected water quality in the bays and bayous, habitats and the overall ecosystems in the Galveston Bay watershed.
