Public comments sought for Texas Sea Grant program review

The Texas Sea Grant College Program will be reviewed on September 16 and 17, 2015, by a team convened by the National Sea Grant College Program.

The review will be conducted in two locations, at the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi on Wednesday, September 16, and at the Program’s headquarters on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station on Thursday, September 17. The review will consider all aspects of Texas Sea Grant’s programs, including management, stakeholder engagement and collaborative activities.

The public is invited to participate in the review by submitting comments via email about the Program by September 9, 2015, to oar.sg.feedback@noaa.gov. Please include “Texas Sea Grant site review” in the comment line.

Texas Sea Grant is a unique partnership that unites the resources of the federal government, the State of Texas and universities across the state to create knowledge, tools, products and services that benefit the economy, the environment and the citizens of Texas. It is administered through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and is one of 33 university-based Sea Grant Programs around the country. Texas Sea Grant is a non-academic research center in the College of Geosciences at Texas A&M University. The program’s mission is to improve the understanding, wise use and stewardship of Texas coastal and marine resources.
